Well friends, I have retreived my goodie bags for BlizzCon today. This is after waiting roughly an hour in an incredible line of a few thousand people to get them (and here I thought I was going to miss the crowd). It’s clearly apparent that the love for all things Blizzard spans far and wide. After I retreived my 50 pounds of swag, I took a quick stroll through the parking structure to see what out of towners we had. I saw license plates from Nevada, Washington, even as far as Alabama (hurray nerdtrip!).

Once home, I ripped apart my goodie bag to get at the tasty treasures hidden inside. After I pulled the first few items, it had already become one of the greatest swag bags I have ever received from a convention.

Find out how, after the jump….

The very first item I pulled out was none other than a Special Edition BlizzCon Account Authenticator. I was excited because it looks very nice, but also a little sad since I had just purchased one from the Blizzard Store and spoke about how important it is to have one. Still, an awesome little piece of gadgetry that does as the box says, “Protects your [Epic Stuff].”

Other items included in this bag were:

  • World of Warcraft Ashbringer Comic
  • Inflatable Frostmourne or Bubble-Hearth Paladin
  • Starcraft Comic
  • Forsaken or Orc mask
  • Diablo III “Sinamints”
  • Frostmourne hilt keychain
  • Starcraft II Zerg Creep Goo
  • Diablo III Ball
  • WoW TCG: Heroes of Azeroth Starter Deck
  • Starcraft II Sweatbands
  • Pandaren Mug Cooler
  • Starcraft II Board Game
  • Various other ads and flyers

However, there were two other things that had me laughing (or LoL’ing) out loud. The BlizzCon instant hand sanitizer with carrying clip. Something tells me that I’m going to be using that whole thing in the next two days, especially before, during, and after playing anything with a controller/keyboard.

The second, is the QQNOOB Tissues. Emblazoned with a gnome laughing at a dead Tauren. I could’ve used these when I first got to the center today and exclaimed, “You have got to be kidding me, we need to stand in this?”

I really have to hand it to Blizzard for creating one of the most useful and entertaining swag bags that I’ve seen. With the amount of time that went into this bag, I have very high hopes for what they put into the convention and I’m sure I won’t be disappointed.

I’m sure that I’ll be seeing some of you in the hall tomorrow, feel free to toss a greeting towards me if you do.

Till tomorrow, FOR THE HORDE!
