I’ve been talking to players on my main realm, and the consensus has been that raids post-3.0 are a bit of a joke. I’ve only had a chance to do Karazhan twice since the patch, and it’s been a total breeze; even technicial fights, like Netherspite and Nightbane, are pretty easy. I wasn’t able to join the Zul’Aman run going on tonight, but I’ll be talking to the raid leaders later to get a feel for how it went. Tomorrow, I’ll be talking to a guild leader on Kirin Tor, one of the servers I play on, about how the new specs and the dungeons, through Black Temple, have been playing.
I’m not really too upset by the raid nerfs; it’s not like tier 6 gear will matter a lot in two months. I just wish they’d given us two weeks to play in the raid zones pre-nerf with our new specs — it’s hard to guage just how good new gear and new abilities are when your dps is killing your raid target in half the time. Starting this week, I’ll be talking to players to find out how they’ve been speccing and how they’ve been testing in this brave new world of free Badges of Justice, and I’ll also be talking to players as they’re chewing through content that was just out of reach before the raid mobs got nerfed.
What I do have for you tonight are a few screenshots of the Stormwind harbor and the Dalaran crater. They’re both pretty impressive, and you should definitely head out to look at them if you can.
