Blizzard Entertainment’s “World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King” goes on sale at midnight on Nov. 13.
And lucky us here in O.C., the Irvine game company is AGAIN sending some of its developers and executives for autographs at the Fry’s Electronics in Anaheim, at 3370 E. La Palma Ave.
Along with Anaheim, a Best Buy in New York, plus two GameStops in San Francisco and Austin, Tex. will also have midnight launches attended by Blizzard employees. These four stores will have a larger supply of collector editions and will open at midnight to sell the expansion of the game.

Best Buy has also posted a list of locations that will open at midnight, although these stores won’t have the extra Blizzard presence. The two Orange County stores include Westminster and Fullerton.
GameStop also plans to open 3,000 stores at midnight. Information on the game is HERE.
Since this is a worldwide launch, similar events will be held in Paris, London, Berlin, Madrid, Stockholm, Amsterdam, Mexico City, Taipei and Seoul. Full details on the specific locations and plans for each of these events can be found at www.worldofwarcraft.com/midnight (site currently busy).
omfg!
meh. I preordered the CE a while back online. I went to blizzcon. I think that was enough elbowing with nerds like me for the year.
anybody know what the in store price will be @ fry’s?
Fry’s has never discounted the price of the games at the midnight launch so I’m sure it will be $39.99 for the expansion, and $69.99 for the Collector’s Edition. However, Blizzard could throw in some freebies that night, not to mention developer/artist autographs and camaraderie in line.
So when is starcraft 2 coming out anyway. Any mention of starcraft ruffles my feathers, I hate late games…Sweet blog though, keep it up!
