  • Servers started coming up early (I was on my primary at 10 a.m.), and the patch notes have been posted. A handful of bugs that came with patch 3.0.8 will be fixed today — the two-minute cooldown on warlocks’ summon, hunters’ aspects sharing a cooldown and death knights’ howling blast will all be addressed.   • Some tech-heads at GameCyte tested computer performance under Windows 7 beta. Their results? Basically favorable. GameCyte
  • “Hellgate: London,” the MMO created by former Blizzard employees is dying — but will be resurrected as a free-to-play game (in some territories, at least). Gamasutra
  • 2k Australia, the creators of “Bioshock,” challenged software teams to create the most human-like AI. The winners, AMIS from Charles University in Prague, managed to fool two of the five judges; $2,000 and a tour of the company’s studio was theirs. Slashdot
