Diablo III blitz!

May 23rd, 2009, 10:13 am · 1 Comment · posted by jsimmons

It looks like the Blizzard press machine is starting to rev up ahead of BlizzCon. “Diablo III” got a handful of updates this week; I’d expect to see more activity from that and “StarCraft II” in the next several weeks as BlizzCon gets closer.

  • On the bestiary side, there were one and a half updates — The Fallen Ones, the adorable imps that have gleefully stood in players’ way since the first “Diablo,” got their own bestiary update (No. 10). The half update? Well, there’s an embedded link to entry No. 9 for the Khazra, or the goat-men; this update’s not linked to anywhere else on the “Diablo III” site. Is this a sneaky little addition for observant fans? Maybe. Blizzard’s Diablo III site

  • Diablo was the theme of a fan-art update, too. Ah, chibi undead; it’s gotta be hard to be terrifying when you’re just so darned cute.  Blizzard
  • Finally, “Echoes of War” — the symphonic soundtrack featuring “StarCraft II,” “Diablo III” and “World of Warcraft” music, will be re-released in spring. In typical Blizzard style, there will be an ultra-deluxe edition featuring DVDs and extra art. Echoes of War

And I thought I was the only who noticed that update for the Khazra! lol I just hate it when Blizzard teases us with stuff for Diablo3. I know, it’s still a looooong way from release but I really can’t wait for the game to come out. Chop chop Blizzard I want my D3 now!
